Printheads for label printers are wearing parts. The thermal head is in direct contact with the passing label or transfer ribbon, which causes continuous abrasion. Once print results become faint or contain gaps, the printhead needs to be replaced. Please remember to order parts according to printer type and printing technology (thermal direct or thermal transfer), as well as the resolution (dpi). Rely on quality with a 1-year or 1 million inches (whichever comes first) standard warranty on mobile desktop and industrial printer printheads.After changing the printhead it needs to be adjusted first. This guarantees evenly produced black prints and a long service life of the new thermal line, which otherwise would wear off or be damaged easily if improperly installed.
